Lima City Tour is a perfect combination of three historical periods in the history of Lima: pre hispanic (ancestral Lima), colonial Lima and modern Lima.

LIMA CITY TOUR ITINERARY:

We will pick you up from your Lima Hotel at your convenience.
Your tour start by visiting Miraflores District, with excellent view of Pacific Ocean, Parque del Amor (Lovers Park), y Parque Kenneddy - a perfect place to start Lima sightseeing!

Our next point of interest is Huaca Pucllana (panoramic view), magnificent ceremonial and administrative center of Lima Culture, built in the 4th century AD. Ancient ruins of Huaca Pucllana has a shape of truncated pyramid built with small mud bricks ('adobitos') placed in the particular form of bookseller. It is located in the heart of Miraflores District.

On our way to Lima downtown we will visit the upper-class and new financial district of San Isidro, and it's famous park El Olivar. The olive trees we will see there are brought from Spain in the late sixteenth century. San Isidro is a business and financial district.

Then, we will take you to Lima Historic Centre, visiting (panoramic view)   Plaza Grau, Justice Palace, San Martin Square, where we will see the monument of don Jose de San Martin (the Liberator of Peru) and famous Hotel Bolivar.
Our next stop is Plaza Mayor (Lima Main Square), where we will visit the Government Palace, Cathedral of Lima, Archbishop's Palace, Municipal Building (Palacio Municipal) , Santo Domingo Church, and Casa Aliaga - belonged to Aliaga family since Lima Foundation.

We will enter the Church and convent of San Francisco, a beautiful masterpiece of Lima's colonial architecture constructed in the 17th century. We will also enter the catacombs under the church of San Francisco, containing the bones and skulls of some 25,000 people buried there, and we will visit a famous library - containing some of the oldest and most important books in South America.
San Francisco Church and Convent were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1991.

At the end of the tour you will have a chance to buy some souvenirs (optional) and we will drive back to your Hotel, or some other place of your choice (Miraflores, San Isidro, etc.).
