Susan & Glenn Deacon inPeru - Comments of Lima City Tour

My name is Glenn and my wife's is Susan.
This past summer we were on a Holland America cruise that stopped in Lima. Susan is confined to a wheelchair and cannot walk at all.
As a result we required a van that could accomodate her power chair - a van with a ramp for the wheelchair to get into and out of the van - she could not be lifted into the van and then lift the wheelchair - it had to be her in the chair driving up and down the ramp.

We came to find out there is no such service in Lima. We did however receive a respons from Peru Golden Shuttle wherein Branimir said that if we would have faith in him he would construct some sort of ramp to accomodate our needs and would in turn provide us with a tour of Lima.

Susan and I had nothing to loose so we agreed. On the day of our arrival Branimir showed up with his van and with a "make-shift" ramp and with Elizabeth. The ramp worked superbly and to our great pleasure Elizabeth spend the day with us on the tour of Lima.

The tour we received was better than anything the ship had arranged for others and was by far and away better than anything Susan or I could have anticipated. Not only did we have a van that accomodated our needs but we also had a drive / tour guide who knew the city inside and out.

But what made the day super spectacular is the fact that both Branimir and Elizabeth are exceptionally nice and warm and out-going - within minutes of meeting they made Susan and I both feel like we were family - almost like royalty.

I can state categorically that if Susan and I ever get back to Lima we will forego any other service in favor of spending the day with Branimir and Elizabeth. Spending the day with them is one of the best days Susan and I have ever had anywhere in our travels.

They were so nice and so much fun that they have a standing invitation to visit our home anytime they might visit the San Diego area. They are not tour guides - they are good friends.
